Ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, the Imola circuit was lit up by Sebastian Vettel. The Brazilian superstar went out for an emotional demo lap to pay tribute to Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger. Notably, Vettel was in Senna's iconic McLaren MP 4/8 of 1993.

Notably, Senna and Austrian racer Ratzenberger lost their lives in separate accidents at the circuit nearly 30 years ago. This weekend, Vettel and many others in the paddock have organized various tributes to honour their memories.

After arranging a track run on Thursday evening, Vettel drove Senna’s 1993 McLaren MP4/8, the car in which the three-time world champion secured his final race victory. In an emotional moment, Vettel toured the circuit, waved to fans, and held up Brazilian and Austrian flags. He then parked on the start/finish straight and performed a series of donuts.
