The biggest superstars in the 2025 Formula 1 grid are Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. These three drivers are the only ones with world championships and the rest of the grid are yet to win. These three hold 13 World Championships shared among them. In F1, some dream partnerships happened, like Prost-Senna, Lewis Hamilton-Alonso, Kimi Raikkonen-Vettel, and Mansell-Piquet, etc. Some partnerships never happened, like Vettel-Hamilton, Verstappen-Alonso, Senna-Schumacher.

For F1 drivers, the biggest thing that excites them apart from Formula 1 are endurance and rally racing. The oldest Formula 1 rider Fernando Alonso had already tried endurance racing in his first retirement and even won the 24 hours of Le Mans Championship for Toyota Gazzo Racing.

He already won the Monaco Grand Prix and still needs to win the Indy Championship to become the triple crowner. Alonso is now racing in F1, so he can't try other motorsports like the Dakar Rally and Indianapolis. He has already made it clear that he will become a Rally driver once he retires from F1 after the 2026 season.

The reigning world champion Max verstappen also wants to become an endurance racing driver and said he wouldn't stay in F1 for a long period like Lewis and Alonso. So, there is now a possibility of Verstappen-Alonso pairing for the endurance championship and winning the greatest race in Motorsport, the 24 hours of Le Mans.

The Red Bull driver said, “The only thing is, for Le Mans, there’s no minimum weight for the driver. I’m quite a heavy competitor, so I would have to find light teammates to compensate. Fernando is quite light so that would be very good for us, but we would need to find another one.”

Max Verstappen’s Red Bull contract is until the 2028 season. The Dutchman admitted that his next move in his career would be his last one, and after that, he had no interest in racing Formula 1. He was also linked with the Aston Martin team, as Fernando Alonso is too old and could be racing his final years. What if Lewis Hamilton was the third driver alongside Alonso and Max Verstappen for the 24 hours of LeMans racing? That would be a dream come true.
