Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro open up after having good start to season in French MotoGP

Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro spoke about their good start to the French MotoGP season. The two riders from Aprilia gave an impressive performance and finished in the top 10. While Vinales finished 4th, Aleix ended up being the 7th best rider in the race. After the event, the duo spoke to the reporters and expressed their happiness in the race.

Vinales claimed that the front tyre was fantastic and it helped him to ride well. He felt that it was on such days he was naturally quick. The star rider was just 0.269s away from Jorge Martin of Ducati on his time attack. Maverick added that he was close to the yellow flag and hoped to improve the results in the upcoming days. He was confident about taking on Ducati.

"During my time attack, a yellow flag kept me from improving my time, but I was still extremely close. I’m confident that we’ll take a step forward tomorrow. I’m sure I can battle against the Ducatis," said Vinales in the interview. Espargaro spoke about his race and claimed that it was his fastest performance since Qatar MotoGP. Aleix felt confident about his race.

Espargaro realized the mistakes he committed in the previous race and seemed to have improved on them. Aleix claimed that he enjoyed riding on the track as he felt the race was really quick for him. The Aprilia rider made a good point about his body position. He felt that lowering the body position helped him to perform better and helped him to apply brakes in a better way.

"The feeling is better than I expected here. I have been fast and competitive from the start. I really enjoyed today. After the Jerez test, we tried to lower my body position on the bike and it’s better on the brakes," said Espargaro in the interview. Ducati still leads the race as Jorge Martin finished in the pole position. Aprilia has a good chance to revive themselves.
