MotoGP legend Marc Marquez has moved to the factory Ducati team for the 2025 season. After winning 6 world titles with Honda, Marquez moved to the Gresini Racing team, a satellite team of Ducati. After an impressive year in 2024, Ducati chose him to be their next rider alongside Francesco Bagnaia in 2025. The legend has to pay the price of moving to the Italian team as he needs to lose his personal sponsor Red Bull. Ducati already has Monster Energy a rival energy drink brand as their main sponsor.

Marquez rejects Monster for Red Bull
Red Bull and Monster Energy are the biggest rivals in the energy drink industry. After all these years with the Austrian brand, Marquez has to give up on Red Bull for his career. But the Spaniard had made one bold move which is not to have any more personal sponsors which is a thunder strike for Monster Energy.
Marquez said, “Out of respect for Red Bull, I won't have a personal sponsor. I want to thank the Red Bull family and hope we continue to be friends.” Ducati is not leaving him lightly as he wore a Monster logoed cap and racing suit during the Ducati bike launch event in Italy.
The California-based beverage brand is having a deal with Ducati. According to that, the bikes and riders will have Monster Energy logos on race suits, and helmets. Francesco Bagnaia has already made a deal with Monster but the Spaniard declined their offer out of loyalty and respect to Red Bull.
We still don't know about Marquez’s side on whether he will carry a Monster energy drink bottle inside the garage, paddock, Podium or before the race starts. Although Red Bull was removed, his other personal sponsors like Shoei, Estrella Galicia, Insta360, and Alpine Stars remain with him.
Like Marc Marquez, Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton will also lose his sponsor this year. This time it was Monster itself, as Ferrari is in partnership with Celsius, a US-based energy drink manufacturer. It is more exciting to see brands battle each other to sponsor big names in sports.
