The whole talk of the town was the fight between Max Verstappen and George Russell. The incident occurred during the Qatar Grand prix, where Russell complained to the stewards about Max driving slow during his qualifying and got him a 1-place grid penalty. The world champion was very angry with Russell for screwing his qualifying session and even had some heated arguments. He slammed the British driver showing two faces. George also hit back at Verstappen for threatening him after coming out of the steward's room.
Both the drivers lost respect for each other and it will take a long time for them to patch up. Despite all the drama, the Formula 1 drivers went for a dinner to mark the end of the 2024 season. The two drivers sat far away from each other. Lando Norris was one driver who seemed to enjoy all this fighting and bashing. The McLaren driver was on the front end in both drivers and constructors' battle. But now he loves to see the off-track battle between his mates Max and George. During the Abu Dhabi GP, he met the press and was asked about the fight on going between the two drivers.

The Brit gave a savage reply by saying “I hope it doesnt get smoothed out, I hope they stay fighting and arguing cause it's amusing to watch.” This was not expected from him as most would like to end the fight soon. He added “Actually I do know a lot of details of what was said and what happened. I don't think Max tries to intimidate and he says the truth in his opinion and people don't like to hear the truth nowadays in life and he is just honest and gives his opinion.”
The McLaren driver did much more racing against Max Verstapen this year than George but he was fine with Max’s arguments and thinks he spoke the truth of what happened in the steward's room. We can't wait to see the live action in Abu dhabi this week and are looking forward to seeing whether George Russell and Max Verstappen give us some real action on the track.
