After some poor performances in the ongoing F1 season, Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo is reportedly on the verge of losing his seat in RB. In the recently concluded Japan GP Ricciardo faced a setback as he got struck by speedy William’s driver Alex Albon.

As soon as his race was over in the first lap Ricciardo’s future at Red Bull also came under scanners. Now, F1 correspondent Lawrence Barretto has spoken about his discussions with Ricciardo hinting at a major overhaul in Red Bull set up.

Speaking with a media house Barretto said that Ricciardo was devasted and heavily disappointed with the result. He also said that the RB driver didn’t have an explanation about the crash. Barretto said, “I did. He was much, much, much down in the dumps I would say.  Disappointed, couldn’t find any positives, and couldn’t explain anything. Had nothing really to say on the matter.”

Will Red Bull decide on Daniel Ricciardo?

The ongoing Formula 1 season has been a poor run for Daniel Ricciardo. He has failed to produce a decent result as he failed to qualify in Q3 in Japan. Ironically, his teammate Yuki Tsunoda has improved his performance from last season. With New Zealander Liam Lawson in the queue, it will be a difficult fight for Ricciardo.

Speaking about it Channel 4 presenter Jones said that Red Bull is likely to take a massive decision soon. He said, “It’s tough, we’ll keep an eye on it, but I feel something is going to change quite soon, possibly.” Echoing his comments Former British racer Billy Monger said that “It’s a hard time for Ricciardo.”

“When that line-up was confirmed, we kind of thought Daniel could assert his authority,” said Monger. “He’s got so much experience in Formula 1, he’s had such a good track record in Formula 1, he’s won Grand Prix, and Yuki still – to a certain extent – untested at the highest level. I think just the way things are going, it just feels hard to watch almost”, he further added.
