'I feel real'- Carlos Sainz gets emotional on his bond with Charles and Lando

Former Ferrari and current Williams driver Carlos Sainz recently spoke in an interview, saying he feels real when he is with Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris. The four-time Formula 1 race winner moved to the Williams garage after spending a four-year successful journey with the Maranello-based team. 

The arrival of Lewis Hamilton complicated things for him as he was hopeless of securing a seat for the 2025 season, despite performing well for the team. But finally, he got the driving opportunity at the Williams Racing team, as team principal James Vowels was the mastermind behind his signing.

Sainz will use all the experience he learned at Ferrari and give his input to the Williams racing team. The British racing team wants to be back in the front row and Carlos is the only guy who can help them achieve this goal. The Spaniard is the most underrated driver in Formula 1, as he always gave his best in all his former teams, starting from Toro Rosso, Renault, McLaren and Ferrari. So we expect the Williams garage to have the advantage of having Carlos Sainz by their side this 2025 F1 season.

Carlos had a little fun chatting with a Spanish television channel and spoke about his personality on and off the track. Sainz said he feels real when he is around Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris, as they enjoy having great fun and light-hearted moments together. He is very emotionally attached to both Charles and Lando.

Carlos said, “You've seen videos of me with Lando, videos with Charles. My part is more light-hearted and less serious. That's my real self.” He also said once he comes to the paddock, he becomes serious and changes character completely into a tough competitor. He doesn’t want to laugh or have fun inside the paddock and always wants to win. Not only Carlos but every Formula 1 driver is very different inside and outside the car.
