'He'll bring a winning mentality' - Ollie Bearman eyes Lewis Hamilton’ influence as Ferrari’s winning force in 2025

Ollie Bearman has his sights set on learning from one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history—Lewis Hamilton—as the seven-time world champion prepares to join Ferrari in 2025. Bearman, who is set to make his full-time F1 debut with Haas, remains closely linked to Ferrari through the Ferrari Driver Academy, where he has been nurtured since 2021.

Bearman made headlines with his unexpected and impressive P7 finish during a one-off appearance for Ferrari at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. He is eager to see the impact Hamilton will have on the Italian outfit. The young Briton has expressed his admiration for Hamilton's unparalleled achievements and believes that the veteran driver will bring invaluable experience and a “winning mentality” to Ferrari.

Speaking with Sky Sports F1, Bearman shared his thoughts on Hamilton's impending arrival at Ferrari. “I think he'll bring a lot of experience to the team. He's won seven world championships—that's something that not many people can say. He'll bring a good mentality to the team, a winning mentality, but of course, his talent is undeniable. He's one of the best to have ever done it,” Bearman commented.

As Bearman gears up for his rookie season with Haas in 2025, he remains hopeful that he will have the opportunity to learn from Hamilton. “It's great that in some way he can share his experience with me slightly. I hope that I will learn a lot from him and I hope that Ferrari will as well because I think he will be a great asset to the team,” Bearman added.

Bearman’s dream of winning a world championship with Ferrari is fueled by the deep connection he has with the iconic team. Reflecting on his early experiences with Ferrari, Bearman emphasized the significance of the brand and his desire to achieve success with the Scuderia. “Ferrari is one of the most iconic brands in the world, of course within racing and F1. If you draw a car, it's red. It’s synonymous with racing, with victory, with success, and with fantastic drivers as well”, he said.
