The god of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, turns 52 today, and the little master is nearly a god figure in a country like India. The little master's accomplishments in the game of cricket are almost unbeatable, and his records stand as a benchmark for new talents. Michael Schumacher, the seven-time Formula 1 world champion, is the god of F1.

Sachin Tendulkar and Schumacher's friendship

Even before meeting Michael, Sachin was a big fan of Ferrari and Schumacher. He has many Ferrari cars in his home and is a big car collector. The German F1 legend and the Indian cricket icon became very close, as the FIAT group even agreed to pay taxes for importing Sachin’s Ferrari to india.

Tendulkar Meets Schumacher at Indian GP in 2010

Again, the two greats met each other during the Indian Grand Prix in 2010. Sachin Tendulkar went to see the inaugural Indian GP race at the Buddh International Circuit. There, Michael Schumacher was in different colours, wearing a white suit instead of red, as he is the driver for the Mercedes F1 team.

After the meeting, Sachin was asked whether he would support his friend Michael Schumacher for the race. Sachin replied that he wishes him all the best, but his support will be to the Force India team, as the country always comes first.

Sachin and Schumacher Careers, Friendship

Sachin and Schumacher are almost similar in age, and both made their debut at a young age. Michael became the legend of Formula 1, while Tendulkar still stands as the greatest cricketer of the century. But his friend Schumacher has been out of the public eye for more than a decade.

The former Ferrari driver suffered a grievous injury in 2013 and is out of everything. Hope he recovers, and we want the two greats to meet again and watch a Formula 1 race together. Tendulkar is now a mentor for the Mumbai Indians IPL team.
