Haas F1 Team is all set to showcase a striking new livery at their second home race of the 2024 season, the United States Grand Prix, at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Austin. The special design pays homage to their American roots, complementing their traditional black, red, and white colours with vibrant blue accents and star patterns inspired by the U.S. flag.

This marks another proud moment for the only American-based team in Formula 1, which has been flying the Stars and Stripes since their debut in 2016. The Austin race is the second of three home events for Haas this season, with the Miami Grand Prix behind them and the Las Vegas Grand Prix still to come in November. Team headquarters are located in Kannapolis, North Carolina, alongside a European base in Banbury, UK, solidifying their strong transatlantic presence.

But the livery isn’t the only thing Haas fans will be excited about. The team has confirmed a significant performance upgrade package for Austin. According to Andrea De Zordo, Haas's Technical Director, “In Austin we’re bringing our main update for the final part of the season, which will mainly involve another step of development in the floor and bodywork."

He added that the focus will be on improving aerodynamic load to enhance the car’s speed, though he cautioned fans not to expect drastic time gains: "It’s difficult to be making a big step in lap time, so we’re speaking about small numbers, but in the tight midfield fight everything is an important step.”

The upgrades come at a crucial time for Haas, as the team is locked in a fierce battle with RB Racing for sixth place in the Constructors' Championship. Currently, Haas trails VCARB by just three points with 31 points to their name and six races left in the season. De Zordo emphasized the importance of the fight for P6, noting that securing that position would be a major achievement for the team.
