Renault has announced that it will end engine production for Formula 1 cars by 2025 and after that will be participating in the Formula 1 championship as a customer team to Mercedes. The French car manufacturer has been in the sport from 1970 till today. In these years, it has won 2 world championships and many constructors championships.

Nigel Mansell (Williams-Renault-FW14) & Ayrton Senna (McLaren-Honda-MP4/6) went wheel-to-wheel at the Spanish Grand Prix. Mansell would go on to win the race. Championship leader Senna would have to settle for 5th.

The British racing driver was the first to win a championship by driving a Renault powered engine Williams car in 1992. He won the drivers championship while Williams-Renault won the constructors title. He became the first Briton to win Formula 1 championship since James Hunt in 1976.

The French Formula 1 legend won the 1993 Formula 1 driver's title in a Renault-powered Williams car. His biggest rival and Formula 1 great Ayrton Senna came second driving for Mclaren- Ford. At the end of the year Prost Retired from Formula 1. Ayrton Senna took Prost’s seat at Williams the next year where he lost his life.

The greatest Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher won his second world title driving for Benetton. Renault supplied engines for Benetton in 1995 and Michael Schumacher won the title and also gave benetton the constructors championship.

After being beaten by Michael Schumacher for two years continuously Hill found a way and won the 1996 Formula 1 world championship for Williams-Renault. He is the first son of a former world champion to win a Formula 1 title again. His father Graham Hill was also a F1 world champion in 1962 and 1968.

The Canadian Won the Formula 1 title with Williams-Renault in 1997. He is the son of Former Ferrari driver Giles Villeneuve. He controversially won the championship after Michael Schumacher of Ferrari rammed his car trying to defend his lead.

The current Aston Martin Driver and one of the greatest drivers ever in Formula 1 history Fernando Alonso Won his only two world titles while driving for Renault. He ended Michael Schumachers 5 years of dominance and won the title in 2005,and 2006.

Vettel in a Red Bull car and a Renault-powered engine is invincible. Red Bull was never a championship-winning team until then. But Sebastian along with Adrian Newey and Renault changed the game completely. They won 4 consecutive World titles with Renault-powered engines and he is the last driver to do so.
