The 2014 Formula 1 season was one of the worst seasons in F1 as we lost one of the best drivers on the grid, Jules Bianchi. The French Formula 1 racing driver was from a racing family, as Bianchi was the grandson of former F1 driver Mauro Bianchi and grand-nephew of Lucien Bianchi.
He was driving for the Marussia F1 team during the 2014 F1 season. Bianchi was one of the rarest talents and was in line for the next Ferrari driver seat. Fernando Alonso would have been replaced with Jules Bianchi the next year. During the 2014 Japanese Grand prix race, Bianchi announced that he is ready to step into the Scuderia Ferrari team, replacing Fernando Alonso. His life ended within a few days as he crashed his car into a crane.

The race was held under an intermittent heavy rainfall, as the Suzuka circuit in japan was fully wet. On lap 42, Adrian Sutil spun out of control and crashed into the run-off area. The track was yellow-flagged, and many F1 drivers reduced their speed, but Bianchi did not slow down enough during the yellow flag situation, as he lost control of his car and crashed straight into the crane that carried Sutil’s Sauber F1 car. The impact was large as Sutil’s car fell to the ground.
The race was immediately stopped, and Hamilton was declared the winner. Jules Bianchi was immediately airlifted to the hospital and was unconsious. He did not respond to the radio calls of his team, and many thought he had gone into a coma. Bianchi suffered a severe head injury and was in the hospital for more than 8 months. With there was no improvements in his health condition, Bianchi died on 17 July 2015, aged 25. He became the only second driver to lose his life in Formula 1 since Ayrton Senna died in 1994. It remains one of the horrifying crashes in Formula 1.
