Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc can't forget his ex-teammate Carlos Sainz for helping him improve in their four years together as teammates. The Spaniard signed for Ferrari in 2021 and was very impressive all these years, bringing consistent points to the team and helping them in the constructors. With Lewis Hamilton coming into the team, Carlos had to give up his seat, and he moved to the Williams team for the 2025 season. But he was dearly missed by his Ferrari teammate and close friend Charles Leclerc.

Charles still can't forget Carlos.

The Monegasque also praised Sainz for helping him improve as a Formula 1 driver in the last four years. He said, “I think Lando and myself are probably the two best people to speak about it because we’ve been sharing the same team with Carlos Sainz for many years. And I can tell you, Carlos is so incredibly talented."

He added, “He helped me to improve for so many years—his work ethic, his talent, just everything he brings. The discipline he has, he’s been just such an incredible teammate. And I think if today we have made such a step forward in a year and these four years, it's a big thanks to Carlos.”

Leclerc also feels there is some luck needed to be there at the right time, and Sainz deserved to be in a top team like Ferrari. He is also confident that Carlos will return to Ferrari, and together they can again fight for the title. The two drivers were the fan-favourite pair, and they were very close to each other off the grid. The pair helped Ferrari beat Red Bull and challenge McLaren for the constructor's championship.

Sometimes there have also been some heated moments between the two during races, but overall it was a good friendship with complete love and respect for each other. Leclerc went one step further and said, “Without him, I wouldn't have become the driver I am today.”
