The next race in F1 is the Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai circuit. It has been a hunting ground for Mercedes and Red Bull. Max Verstappen is the last year's winner.
The Chinese Grand Prix in Formula 1 has traditionally been a hunting ground for Mercedes as they are the most dominant team in the Shanghai international circuit since its inception in 2004. The track layout with a mix of both high-speed corners and low-speed U-bends tests the car and the driver equally.

2016 - Nico Rosberg
The two silver arrows were battling for the ultimate championship and the Chinese Grand Prix was one of the races. The opening lap was a disaster for Lewis Hamilton as he and Sauber driver Felipe Nasr crashed and the reigning champion out of the race. In the end, Nico Rosberg took his third victory of the season and sixth victory in a row from the F1 2015 season.
2017 - Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton was the pole sitter and defended against Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel. The opening lap was crucial for both, but the British driver had a clean start and was out of sight within a few laps. Vettel had to defend his place against Max Verstappen for the remainder of the race and finished on the podium.
2018 - Daniel Ricciardo
Sebastian Vettel was the pole-sitter and had a good start but the Ferrari strategy was again a nightmare for him. Mercedes brilliantly defended Vettel using Bottas while pitting Hamilton. Sebastian was attacked by Max Verstappen on lap 43 causing both drivers to spin. Daniel Ricciardo gained position and on lap 45 he overtook Bpttas and clinched his first Chinese GP.
2019 - Lewis Hamilton
Though Bottas was sitting in pole position, he had a bad start allowing his teammate Lewis Hamilton to overtake him. But he later defended that position against Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel. At the end of the race, it was a 1-2 finish for the Silver Arrows.
2024 - Max Verstappen
After missing out for four years, the Chinese Grand Prix returned to the F1 calendar in 2024. After winning the Sprint race, Max Verstappen qualified as the fastest driver. After many safety cars and collision incidents, Max Verstappen won the race alongside Lando Norris and Sergio Perez.
