The full driver session of the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand prix is complete, with Oscar Piastri leading the session against his teammate Lando Norris and Mercedes driver George Russell. It now looks like the Mercedes engines are performing better in cool temperatures. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc was the fourth fastest man behind Russell, while his teammate Lewis Hamilton was eighth by the end of the session. Oliver Bearman continued his run by finishing inside the top 10.

FP2 Summary

The session started with Lewis Hamilton setting the fastest lap and leading the table. Then, the two McLaren drivers came and started dominating the grid. Oscar Piastri set the fastest lap of the session, with his teammate Lando Norris keeping behind him.

Mercedes driver George Russell was below his teammate Kimi Antonell, and he gained momentum and set the third-fastest lap of the session. The biggest surprise package was Isack Hadjar, as he was the sixth fastest man at the end of the session, ahead of Max Verstappen. Carlos Sainz is slowly adapting to the Williams car and is ahead of his teammate, Alex Albon. Yuki Tsunoda’s struggle continued with the RB21 car, and we are hoping that he will improve in qualifying as the day progresses.
