2025 F1 Bahrain Grand Prix top 5 Predictions: Will Max Verstappen win two in a row?

The next Formula 1 race will be at Bahrain’s Sakhir International Circuit, and it is one of the hottest rounds on the calendar. The temperature will be too high in the morning, so the race will happen at night. This is the first night race of the season. The last one in Japan was tiring for many fans, and they are expecting a thriller in Bahrain.

So, before we get into the race weekend, let us see the top 5 predictions for the Bahrain Grand Prix. Reigning world champion Max Verstappen took his first victory in Suzuka, and he is heading to Sakhir with full confidence and hope. Can he make it two times in a row?

1. McLaren to win Pole

We still believe that McLaren is the fastest team on the grid, and Bahrain’s long straights and high-speed corners will suit them more than other teams. Lando Norris or Oscar Piastri will finish in pole position, but we can't predict how it is going to be for Max Verstappen. He could surprise out of nowhere like the Suzuka Grand Prix. McLaren had a great strategy in the last race to not let Piastri race Norris. Because of which, Lando is still leading the driver's championship. This time, they will let them free as Sakhir has many overtaking areas, especially the main straights. So, whoever is the fastest will win the race.

2. Yuki Tsunoda to score points for Red Bull

The Japanese driver had a bizarre end to his home Grand Prix, but this time, he is more prepared to drive the tricky RB21 car. We can expect him to reach Q3, bringing him closer to scoring his first-ever points for the Red Bull team. The Sakhir circuit features many straights, which allow the cars to reach higher speeds. With a powerful setup, Yuki Tsunoda has a strong chance of finishing in the top 10 and earning points for his team.

3. Mercedes to continue their strong run

One of the biggest things that is going unnoticed is that Mercedes is getting stronger with each race. The two drivers, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, are showing great pace and consistency, helping the team to stay in second position of the constructors. Traditionally, Mercedes has an advantage in the Sakhir circuit, and we expect George Russell to finish on the podium. 

4. Ferrari will show signs of improvement

As we said earlier, the circuit has many straights, so teams will only focus on going quicker than the others. Teams will give their cars more straight-line speed, by reducing the downforce balance to a minimum. Ferrari is always faster on the straights, and this circuit will give them an advantage to use their package properly. We hope Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc to be on the podium this weekend.

This is a big prediction, and some may think it is overconfidence, but we predict there will be no red flags during the race. Fortunately, there were no crashes during the Japanese Grand Prix, we can expect the same in Sakhir. F1 drivers have more experience in the track as it is the training ground in the pre-season.
