  • Hamilton wants to judge his Ferrari success by the end of his career.

Lewis Hamilton is definitely not having a great start to his Ferrari career as each race weekend, he gets frustrated with the car that lacks pace compared with his former teams, McLaren and  Mercedes. The seven-time world champion has been a 'Midas' all his career. Everything he has touched has turned into gold. Even for him, Ferrari is a difficult job as he struggles with the car setup and pace. He has achieved success in only one race, and that too a Sprint win in Shanghai.

In the 2025 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton struggled with his brakes. His teammate Charles Leclerc complained about the brakes being horrendous. After the practice session, Hamilton went for a media briefing, and there he was asked about his success at Ferrari.

Lewis Hamilton backs Ferrari

Hamilton said, “I don't put it all on these three races. If we were to have three bad races, hopes would still remain alive. I don't believe that will be the case, but I'm just saying we don't pin it to one race. For me, I'm not judging our success by a short amount of racing, half a season, or one season.”

The veteran driver added, “Let's talk at the end of my career here at Ferrari, at the end of a few years here at Ferrari, then let's talk about what we've done. That's when we can look back and say whether or not we were successful. These few months are paving stones towards where we're going, and that's that."

This clearly says Hamilton is backing the Ferrari management and wants to improve his car. It also gives us some information about Hamilton’s final few years at Ferrari, and he will race for more than 3 years. If Ferrari can produce a great car for the next few years, Lewis will capitalise on that and could aim for his lost eighth F1 title. We don't know about the future, but we believe Hamilton will retire from Formula 1 as a proud Ferrari driver.
