Pedro Acosta has been one of the biggest superstars in recent months. He has been termed as an upcoming sensation in MotoGP who is yet to finalise a future deal. With a lot of speculation, there is a new report that suggests that KTM is keen to keep Acosta for the long term.
According to a news report KTM is looking to pitch a proposal to Acosta for a two-year deal binding him with the team till the 2026 season. Notably, Only Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) and Fermin Aldeguer (when he arrives at Ducati next year) currently have contracts of that length.
The report says KTM wants to keep something they've put a lot of time and money into. They might move Acosta from the Tech3 GASGAS team to KTM's main team. This could happen next season, but not in the middle of this one.
Even though Acosta is already under contract until 2025, KTM is considering offering him a new contract because he's doing so well in MotoGP and they're interested in him. The team also don’t want to lose a potential race winner for a mediocre reason.
