Alex Marquez race win Photograph: (X)
Alex Marquez won his first ever Motogp race and that too in his home grand prix in Spain. Alex started the race behind, but his brother Marc Marquez's crash in the middle of the race gave him a chance to overtake both Bagnaia and Quartararo and finish in pole position. After many years of waiting and struggle, the dream of the 29-year-old Spaniard came true in front of his home crowd in Jerez.
After winning, Alex became more emotional as he stopped his bike in the middle of the track and ran towards the crowd and celebrated with them. Marc Marquez faces agony, but he will be very happy for his little brother, who tasted his first victory in his Motogp career, holding Quartararo and Bagnaia behind.

2025 Spanish MotoGP summary
The opening lap was not good for championship leader Marc Marquez as he was beaten by his teammate Francesco Bagnaia. But the Spanish rider was through on the first corner. Alex Marquez alkso had a good opening lap, but he went wide while trying to get past the two Ducati riders.
The battle between the two Ducatis is wonderful to watch, but the Ducati garage was biting their nails as the two riders touched each other multiple times. At one stage, Marc Marquez crashed while having a low slide while fighting Bagnaia, and Alex Marquez started to lead the Ducati Team.
Fabio Quartararo was running peacefully until Alex Marquez got past him on the 15th lap and eventually became the race leader. Finally, it was the first race victory for Alex Marquez after many years of racing in the Motogp, and he is now the championship leader, leading his brother Marc by one point.
