Ducati is still leading the team's championship as the top 4 riders were using their machines. Fabio Quartararo impressed everyone with the P5 finish, and if he keeps the same position tomorrow, then Yamaha will be more than happy. Honda factory rider Joan Mir missed the sprint due to illness, and he will be back for tomorrow's main race.

Sprint Race Summary

The six-time world champion Marc Marquez had a great start in Lusail, where he overcame the challenges put on him by his brother Alex, especially on the first corner, which is wide with an immediate turn. Yamaha rider Quartararo lost places and was pushed back to P5 by Gresini's rider Aldeguer.

Ducati rider Bagnaia also gained places and was in P8, battling against Marco Bezzecchi and Maverick Vinales. Reigning world champion Jorge Martin could only manage to finish in P16 behind Luca Marini and Brad Binder. Martin has more work to do, as he is slowly finding his touch as a rider after being out for four months. The MotoGP race weekend will end with the race, and let us see whether Marc Marquez can extend his lead in Qatar.
