Race summary

The two Ducatis fought each other on the very first lap, with Pecco getting a good start. Marc Marquez was stunned by the pace of Bagnaia, as this is the very first time the Italian challenged the six-time world champion head-to-head on the same Ducati. The upgrades to his bike before the Mugello race definitely worked well for him. We are happy to see the old and powerful Bagnaia back. Alex Marquez kept a safe and striking distance and took the lead with a brilliant overtake.

But very soon Pecco lost his grip and fell back, while Marc took the challenge against his brother. After a tight battle, the legendary rider took the lead of the Mugello Grand Prix and kept it till the end. The race also had some crash drama between Maverick Vinales and Franco Morbidelli as the Italian pushed the Top Gun out of the race and took a penalty.

VR 46 rider Giannantonio’s late attack on Bagnaia worked well as the young Italian picked the podium place from the two-time world champion. On the final lap, he got a chance to attack Alex Marquez, but it was too late as the chequered flag was already waved. The Italian Grand Prix is one of the most thrilling races this year, and we now head to the Netherlands in a few days.
