Spanish MotoGP rider Marc Marquez once again won a sprint race this year, beating Gresini Racing rider Alex Marquez and Aprilia Racing rider Marco Bezzecchi. Marc had a great start, and within one lap, he became the race leader. With this win, he is now leading the championship table.
Fabio Quartararo and Bagnaia once again disappointed in the race after a fantastic qualifying session. Marc and Alex are the only two riders in the championship contention this season. Aprilia Racing has become more consistent since Jorge Martin announced his exit from the team after the 2025 season.

Sprint Race summary
Marc Marquez sprinted to the pole position during the race start, beating his brother Alex Marquez, teammate Francesco Bagnaia and Pole leader Fabio Quartararo. The Sheer pace of Ducati gave him all the advantage to overtake his fellow riders and take an early lead.
The Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo gave all his best, but the Japanese machine didn't have enough pace to compete against the Ducatis. Quartararo later crashed while trying to catch up with the Ducatis. Honda rider Joan Mir was also out of the race as he crashed early in the first lap. It was all a battle between the Ducati riders, with Marco Bezzecchi being the only non-Ducati rider in the top 5.
Bagnaia missed out on a podium opportunity as he was beaten by Marco Bezzecchi and Fabio Di Giannantonio. Alex Marquez tried his best to chase Marc, but the senior Marquez was too fast and showcased excellent defensive skills against his brother, winning the race comfortably. The six-time world champion has now extended his lead over Alex and is emerging as a strong contender for the world title this season. He is making full use of the Ducati factory bike’s potential and is expected to maintain his form in tomorrow's main race.
