The Japanese Auto manufacturer Yamaha was outstanding in their qualifying session. Their rider Fabio Quartararo once again finished in Pole position for the third time this year. It clearly shows they are bridging the gap between the championship leaders, Ducati.
Earlier this week, they came with a new aero and swing arm to improve the bike's balance, and it clearly works. The Frenchman now holds the new lap record at the Silverstone circuit, and he will start ahead of all the Ducati bikes in today's sprint and tomorrow's main race.
Gresini Racing rider Alex Marquez tried very hard and finished in P2. The most expected racer, Marc Marquez, had some issues with his setup as he could only manage P4 behind his teammate Francesco Bagnaia, who finally beat Marquez and finished P3.
The other riders who finished inside the points table are Fermin Aldeguer, Jack Miller, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Luca Marini, Johann Zarco, Franco Morbidelli, Marco Bezzecchi, and Alex Rins. The next session will be a 10-lap sprint race followed by the main race tomorrow.
