As teams and fans prepare for the 2024 British Grand Prix, the weather forecast is under scrutiny. The Silverstone weekend is part of a triple-header that has seen Formula 1 action in Spain and Austria, and it promises to be another thrilling race weekend.

Friday: High Probability of Rain (FP1 and FP2)

The weekend kicks off with Free Practice 1 and 2 on Friday, where there is a significant 64% chance of rain. Temperatures are expected to hover around 17°C with winds at approximately 22 km/h. These conditions are likely to see cars navigating a wet track, which will test drivers' adaptability and skill right from the start.

Saturday: Possible Rain During Qualifying (FP3 and Qualifying)

On Saturday, the weather remains uncertain with a 24% chance of rain during Free Practice 3 and the all-important qualifying session. The temperature will stay around 17°C, which, combined with potential rain, could make for a tricky and unpredictable qualifying session. Teams will need to be on their toes, ready to switch strategies at a moment's notice.

Sunday: Race Day Weather

Race day on Sunday could also see wet conditions, with a 34% chance of rain and slightly warmer temperatures at around 18°C. The possibility of rain during the race means that drivers and teams must be prepared for anything, potentially leading to dramatic changes in race strategy and numerous pit stops for tyre changes.
