Maxi Kleber forward of the Dallas Mavericks has reportedly suffered a third-degree dislocation of his right shoulder's AC joint. As per reports, Kleber could miss the rest of the postseason for the Dallas Mavericks. His injury occurred on Friday in the second quarter of Game 6.

Following a foul by Los Angeles Clippers player Amir Coffey, Kleber came down on his shoulder. Kleber, whose 3-point shooting helped Dallas in the series, bent down in discomfort numerous times before heading to the bench for a timeout. He returned to the game for the free throws, converting one of two before exiting at the next dead ball. Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said on Friday when questioned about the possibility of losing a key forward, "Next man up."

In six postseason games, Maxi Kleber has been averaging 5.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 19.4 minutes. During the six-game series, which Dallas won, he went 10-for-18 from three. Kleber appeared in only 43 regular-season games with the Dallas Mavericks due to a dislocated toe that required long rest. In the Mavericks' first-round series victory against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Dallas Mavericks to trust their other players

According to Sports Illustrated Jason Kidd added that "Maxi's role doesn't change." "He's out there to help defensively and on the offensive end to spread the floor and knock down open threes or make a play for a teammate."

Dallas Mavericks have to depend on their bench players to fill the gap created by Kleber's injury, putting the team's depth and strength to the test as it continues its postseason trip.  Starting Tuesday night, the Dallas Mavericks will play Oklahoma City Thunder, the top-seeded team in the Western Conference semifinals, after winning the first-round series 4–2.
