According to sources, Daniel Ricciardo is set to work as an executive producer on a new show, 'Downforce', which is about F1. Notably, Disney-owned Hulu will be the broadcaster. Speaking about the plotline, the story is all about the heiress of a family-run F1 team who is being forced back to run the team and make some tough decisions along the way. It is said to be inspired by 'Entourage' and 'Ballers.'

"Described as Entourage set in the world of Formula 1 racing, Downforce follows what happens when the heiress to a dynastic racing team is thrust back into the family business and the hard choices she must make about the future of the team and her family’s legacy," writes the Hollywood reporter.

Silicon Valley writers set to be in charge of Downforce

Meanwhile, writers of "Silicon Valley," Alec Berg and Adam Countee will be in charge of Downforce. The makers of the project anticipate a good reach by tapping into a fresh fan base after the massive success of the Netflix show "Formula 1: Drive to Survive."

Meanwhile, RB driver Ricciardo was also on board as an executive producer this time and set to lend credibility to this amazing project. Daniel has been associated with creating new projects for the past two years, and his role mirrors Lewis's in the F1 movie that is set to star Brad Pitt.

Pitt has filmed some scenes for the movie since last year at Silverstone during the F1 British Grand Prix weekend. The upcoming Netflix show is being regarded as one of the biggest successes since Liberty Media took over F1.
