Cody Rhodes vs Logan Paul (Source: WrestlingInc.)
On Saturday, WWE will crown a new King and Queen of the Ring. The finals for both events will be held at the King and Queen of the Ring event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Cody Rhodes will also defend his undisputed WWE championship against US champion Logan Paul during the event. Paul managed to talk his way out of having to put his belt on the line in this champion-vs.-champion match.
Undisputed WWE Championship - Cody Rhodes vs Logan Paul
The result of this match was never doubted, especially when Paul refused to bet his United States title. Rhodes is in a holding pattern as the heroic babyface champion. Paul is the second in a line of contenders for the undisputed WWE champion. It should be a good battle, but Rhodes is unlikely to lose the championship until he becomes entangled in a rivalry based on more than just title chances. Cody Rhodes retains the championship.
King of the Ring Finals - Gunther vs Randy Orton
It appears that Randy Orton has defeated Tonga on SmackDown to progress to the finals. Orton does not need to win the tournament at 44 years old, but it would be an additional accomplishment to his already famous CV. After losing the intercontinental title after a 666-day reign, Gunther winning King of the Ring would offer him an extra push ahead while the world heavyweight championship picture is cluttered with others. The most intriguing component of the encounter will be how Gunther and Orton interact inside the ring. Gunther defeated Randy Orton to win King.
Queen of the Ring Finals - Lyra Valkyria vs Nia Jax
WWE is focused on strapping the rocket to Valkyrie right away, but her persona requires more than "is friends with Becky Lynch." Getting the "royalty" gimmick does not always work for wrestlers, as Zelina Vega discovered when she won the first tournament a few years ago, but maybe Valkyria can run with it.
