The fans witnessed an amazing and entertaining clash at the WWE Men’s Elimination Chamber 2024. It was completely an action-filled thriller to get a ticket to the clash for the WWE World Heavyweight Title against the defending champion Seth Rollins. Men’s Elimination Chamber was an all-important and do-or-die match for all the participants who were involved in it.

The Scottish superstar Drew McIntyre emerged victorious in this clash after outplaying all of his opponents in the ring. He will now take on the reigning World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL, which will be held on April 6 and 7, 2024 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Here we’ll have a look at the four reasons behind Drew McIntyre’s win in the men’s elimination chamber 2024:

1. CM Punk’s injury made Drew McIntyre the potential opponent of Seth Rollins

Earlier at the beginning of this year 2024, it looked like CM Punk would be facing Seth Rollins in the 40th edition of the WrestleMania for the World Heavyweight Championship. But things got a major turn after Punk sustained an injury around the Royal Rumble.  It also made the way easy for Drew McIntyre.

McIntyre attacked the ‘injured’ and ‘half-fit’ Punk and completely outclassed the latter to get going at the beginning of the clash, which eventually helped McIntyre to go dominant against the other opponents and win the men’s elimination chamber 2024.

2. A possible way for Sami Zayn to Heavyweight Title clash in WrestleMania 40 after McIntyre’s win

Drew McIntyre has been involved a lot in the ‘WWE things’ for the last couple of months; in this period, he took on some top-class WWE superstars like Jey Uso, LA Knight, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes or his opponent for World Heavyweight Title in WrestleMania XL, I Pennsylvania.

However, there are also speculations that McIntyre’s win might make a way for Sami Zayn to be a part of the World Heavyweight Title clash. Currently, the match is scheduled between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre but it could be re-scheduled as a triple match between Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, and Drew McIntyre.

3. The ‘deserving caliber’ of Drew McIntyre to prove himself to the WWE Universe

In the last couple of years, Drew McIntyre has not had a very good experience with his luck whenever it comes to the main events in the last couple years in the WWE. The two-time world champion, Royal Rumble winner and a one-time elimination chamber before his win in the WWE men’s elimination chamber 2024.

So, as per the veteran WWE superstar Roman Reigns reckoned that it was Drew’s moment to live in front of the WWE universe. Reigns also posted on X, “Have Drew win the world title at Mania. Give him his moment in front of a live crowd. Long overdue.”

4. The speculated re-joining of WWE and Drew McIntyre

There were a lot of assumptions and speculations around Drew McIntyre’s contract with WWE. Some of the media reports learned at the start of 2024 that WWE was not highly willing to keep Drew McIntyre in roaster due to non-signing of contract with the company.

There are also speculations that WWE may have re-signed the new contract with the Scottish Superstar for upcoming events of WWE. Now, he’ll be in action in the World Heavyweight Title match against Seth Rollins in WrestleMania XL.
