Will Grayson Waller become bigger heel and lead to Austin Theory's face turn in upcoming episode of Smackdown?

The dynamics between Grayson Waller and Austin Theory have not been great in the last month. It seems like Waller is trying to use Austin to his advantage and make the most of it be unharmed himself. The duo of Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano realized it and have been convincing Theory to get out of Grayson's control.

In the upcoming episode of Friday Night Smackdown, the DIY duo is set to face the duo of Austin and Waller for the tag team championship. There is a good chance of DIY claiming the title. After that, Grayson might turn against Theory which could lead to the face then of the talented wrestler. It has been a long time since Waller and Theory became tag champions. But it might finally be a time for the implosion of the tag team.

The individuals can probably perform better as solo wrestlers then as tag partners. Austin, in particular, showed a good work as a solo wrestler as a United States Champion. Grayson has improved as a wrestler. Considering all these aspects, it seems like the duo's purpose of being tag partners has been achieved. Moreover, the duo going against each other could lead to a better relevance. 

Heel Waller vs Face Austin on cards?

With utmost honesty, their run as a tag team was not interesting. It was almost as if they never existed. It was similar to that of the reign of The Miz and R Truth as the champions. The value of the title was somewhere lost. The duo of DIY is better suited to carry the title. WWE might finally realize it and do the needful.

A heel Waller against a face Theory could be the way to go. The blue brand has not been as exciting as it was a few months ago. Having Waller go against Austin could be a way to tackle the problem. Both of them are naturally suited to play the role. Austin can nail the job of a face while Waller can be at his best as a solo heel wrestler.
