Why Rey Mysterio beating Dirty Dom on Raw was significant ft. Liv Morgan and Zelina Vega?

In the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, Rey Mysterio claimed a win over his son Dirty Dom. It was probably an unexpected result considering the ongoing dynamics between Dom and Liv. However, there is a reason why Rey won the match against Dominik. It was to give Rey an opportunity to win a match after losing a lot of them in the recent past.

Moreover, if Dirty Dom claimed a win, it would've been a pale story with an expected outcome. It would have definitely got Morgan a bit closer to Dom than she already was. However, it would have meant nothing for the feud between Zelina Vega and Liv to continue. It looks like WWE want them to have a longer feud till Rhea Ripley returns. There can also be a potential triple-threat feud between the three in the upcoming weeks.

The best way to prolong their feud was to ensure Vega cost Dom the match. She did interfere in the match between Rey and Dom. She came as a backup to equalize the threat of Liv. As the world champion had her say on the match, Vega prevented her from further interfering in the match. It led to Rey beating Dirty Dom in the match.

Extended feud between Liv Morgan and Zelina Vega

After Dom lost against his father, he was upset. More than him, Liv was upset with the fact that her interference probably cost him the match. Morgan went behind Dom after the match and said they can get the things right by talking with each other. It meant that Morgan was upset with herself. The reason behind it was Zelina Vega. It could lead to their prolonged feud.

Earlier in the night, Liv managed to defend her title against Vega. Although the LWO star gave a good performance, Morgan managed to steal a win due to an indirect assistance from Dom. For the same reason, Liv came to the match between the two Mysterio's and tried to help her Daddy. But it backfired, for a reason.
