Brock last featured in WWE at Summerslam in 2023 in the match against Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare overcame the Beast in a fiery match and proved himself a worthy contender to challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. Brock took a break from the company before his name was rumored to be involved in the Janel Grant lawsuit.
Brock was reported to return in the Men's Royal Rumble 2024 match. However, his potential involvement in the lawsuit forced him out of the PLE. Since then, Lesnar has not made many public appearances. The latest amendment included Brock's name for the first time in the lawsuit which updated the severity of the issue.
Will WWE distance itself from Brock Lesnar?
Vince and John Larinaitis were accused of sexual assult and Brock's name was taken for asking Grant's explicit sexual content. The news received mixed opinions from the WWE fans. While many supported Brock and felt him to be innocent till proven guilty, others were unhappy with his name being involved in the lawsuit.
In the past, WWE has been clear on the individuals with a court case or crimes. The Stamford-based company usually distances itself from such individuals and nearly erases their presence from the WWE records. However, Brock's name was indirectly mentioned in many segments in the recent past.
The most recent of them was in Drew's segment where he indirectly referred to Brock as Heyman's boy. Many such segments meant fans thinking about the Beast's return at the Royal Rumble 2025. All such hopes have vanished with the latest amendment. There is a good chance of WWE distancing itself from Brock till proven innocent in the Janel Grant lawsuit.
