WATCH: Michael Jordan fan Roman Reigns pays tribute to Kobe Bryant on WWE RAW on Netflix debut

Roman Reigns made a big fashion statement on January 6, 2025, when WWE Raw debuted on Netflix by donning special Nike Kobe 9 sneakers that reflected his identity as "Tribal Chief." This decision is in keeping with Reigns' most recent partnership with the Jordan Brand, which was revealed in April 2024 and resulted in the creation of unique "Bloodline"- branded sneakers scheduled for sale in 2025.

The Nike Kobe 9 is well known for its high-top style and Flyknit technology, which provides flexibility and support. Just look at the OTC and his performance; it shouldn't be too obvious. In addition to paying respect to the late Kobe Bryant, Reigns cemented his position as the "Tribal Chief" in the WWE by choosing to wear these personalized sneakers.

The fact that fans and those who love sneakers embraced this footwear option enhanced Reigns' visibility at this momentous occasion. In a Tribal Combat bout, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa squared off at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The winner would be crowned Tribal Chief and receive the Ula Fala. During the match, there was a lot of weaponry, interference, and near falls. Following Sami Zayn's Helluva Kick, Roman Reigns secured the victory with two spears.

The Bloodline plot is set to advance 

Since Paul Heyman is back, he presented Roman Reigns with the Ula Fala after the match ended. Later, The Rock stepped into the ring and took Ula Fala from Heyman’s hand wrapped it around Roman Reigns’ neck and hugged him. This will advance the Bloodline plot and WWE fans will see if Roman Reigns and The Rock will ever face off. Additionally, The Rock hinted at an appearance on The CW's January 7 episode of WWE NXT. 

This could indicate that The Final Boss' WWE career is only getting started in 2025. Roman Reigns is undoubtedly getting WWE's Netflix Era off to a great start. It remains to be seen if we will eventually have that epic clash, as he is now the unquestioned Tribal Chief.
