Dana White made a huge claim on how things might look in UFC and WWE in the future. The Premium Live Events (PLEs) of WWE have been usually taking place on Saturdays, a move from Triple H that has received praise from the fans. But it looks like things might change. The UFC President made a huge claim on the potential change in schedule in the upcoming days.
Dana was at the press conference in St.Louis after Saturday's UFC Show. When asked about the schedule of WWE PLEs and UFC, he claimed that the fans could get to see Power Slap on Friday, UFC on Saturday, and WWE on Sunday. White added that the fans might witness it soon. The statement of Dana has gone viral on the Internet as fans are wondering about the consequences.
"You’re gonna see Friday, Power Slap. Saturday, UFC. And Sunday, WWE. You’ll start seeing that stuff too," said Dana in the press conference. In 2022, WWE shifted the PLE events from Sundays to Saturdays a move which was lauded by both fans and the wrestlers. Due to the time constraints, fans from different parts of the globe could enjoy WWE on Sunday.
WWE's expansion of territories
In recent times, WWE has been arranging a lot of PLEs outside the US. The response has been great. In 2019, Saudi Arabia bagged a deal with WWE where it was agreed upon the fact that a PLE would happen in the country every year. Since then, the Middle East has hosted some of the minor PLEs every year. WWE has organized several other PLEs outside the US.
Under Triple H, Backlash 2023 happened in Puerto Rica. Money in the Bank 2023 took place in London. Crown Jewel 2023 happened in Saudi Arabia. This year, some of the major PLEs have happened outside the US. The Elimination Chamber happened in Perth. A week ago, France's Lyon hosted Backlash 2024. Saudi and Glasgow are all set to host King of the Ring and Clash at the Castle respectively.
