Triple H claimed the current era of WWE to be bigger than the Attitude Era while speaking in 'The Roommates Show'. Hunter termed the current era of WWE as its resurgence. While he was a part of the Attitude Era himself, Triple H believed there are a lot of amazing people in the current times with whom they got to do a lot of cool stuff.
Hunter agreed that the Attitude Era was very big for its time. However, he felt the current era has been bigger than ever. "We’re sort of in this resurgence of WWE. I was obviously a huge part of the Attitude Era, but right now it’s bigger than it’s ever been," said Hunter.
The WWE CCO credited the current roster for the talent it possesses. He felt it to be the main reason behind WWE's resurgence. "I think it’s bigger than the Attitude Era was even then. It’s amazing the amount of people on a weekly basis that we get to do cool stuff with," added Triple H.
Fans divided over Triple H's statement
Triple H's statement led to the decision among the fans. While many felt he was right in saying the current era is bigger sheerly due to the business it has been doing, others felt the Attitude Era was bigger due to the great wrestlers it had to offer.
One section of fans believed the likes of The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, and others made WWE what it is today with their charisma and popularity back in time. They argued it to be the greatest era in the history of WWE.
On the other hand, another section of the fans believed that the current era is not too far behind. Many felt the company did well despite difficult times like the pandemic. Many felt WWE with Roman, as its face has done business never seen before. Hunter's take has definitely led to the fans talking about different eras of wrestling.
