While Becky entered to a couple of quotes from her autobiography, Ripley entered to the performance of her theme song. Right from the word go, Rhea dominated the match. She was athletic and did not let Becky to dominate her. Some of the blocks between the two was good to see. Ripley fought her way back with aggressive breaking of chains.
There were power slams and brilliant locks. Both looked to be pumped up for the match. Rhea however was the dominant of the two. She targeted Becky with crowd behind her. With a chilling cold weather in the arena, Ripley shined with her performance. She did not allow Becky to be in the game. The crowd and the commentators went mad seeing the two wrestle.
Ecstasy for Rhea agony for Becky
Becky delivered power bomb a couple of times. But Rhea kicked out at two. Even Becky kicked out several times and extended the time of glory to Rhea. The Australian seemingly got frustrated for not being able to finish the match as quickly as possible. It made her more hungry for the win. Ripley came with better aggression. It only got difficult for the Man. She had no escape from the torture.
The moment finally came for Rhea as she successfully delivered her finisher two times a row. She did so after surviving a difficult block. It needed an insane effort from Rhea to beat Becky. And it took a great finish for Ripley to defend her title. The unbeaten run of Rhea continued as she celebrated the victory. At the other end, Lynch seemed broken after suffering the loss.
