Rhea Ripley was answering the questions of the fans ahead of WWE Bad Blood. As one of the fans asked if she went to a waffle house with Jey, the star wrestler claimed that she had not yet been to a waffle house with Jey. The former world champion claimed to be waiting for Jey to take her to the waffle house.
In the intercation with the fans, Big E and Damian Priest were in attendance. Big E picked up the question about the waffle house. The former New Day member asked the fan's questions which read "Has Jey taken you to a waffle house yet?" He claimed it was a relevant question as they were in Atlanta.

Rhea Ripley replied saying Jey had not yet taken her to the waffle house. She then claimed to be waiting for Jey's big move. The segment has gone viral on Rhea's 28th birthday. The fans hoped Jey would take her to the waffle house on her birthday.

The talks of Jey Uso taking Mami to a waffle house started when the former Judgement Day star returned following her injury. As Dirty Dom got closer to Liv Morgan, Jey tried to impress Mami. In one of the segments on Raw, Jey wanted to know if Rhea was single and ready to mingle.
Later in the night, he asked Mami to pick the call when he dials her number. Backstage after the show went off-air, Jey revealed he would take Mami to a waffle house to have a better chance for their relationship. Since then, the fans have been waiting if the two would show up in a waffle house.
After Jey won the Intercontinental Championship, Rhea and Jey teased at them going to a waffle house. However, as per the own admission of Mami, it seems like they are yet to visit a waffle house. The duo is likely to have a segment with each other in the next few weeks on Raw.
