Gunther successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso on SNME. The match turned out to be great and entertained the fans. However, many were upset with Jey's loss and condemned Triple H for booking the former's loss. The Ring General was given the toughest challenge of his world title reign so far by the Main Event Jey.

The leadup to the match was such that Gunther claimed Jey to be not on his level. The Ring General mocked Jey saying he was fit to be in the Main Event only to entertain the fans. However, the younger Uso proved him and everyone else wrong by delivering a great performance as an in-ring wrestler.

The Bloodline star arguably delivered the best performance of his career as a solo wrestler as he took Gunther to the limits. He went beyond the limit and nearly won the match. Fans were literally behind him with the chants of "Yeet" hoping for their favorite star to become the world champion.

Fans criticize Triple H for booking Jey Uso's loss on SNME

It was unfortunately not the night for Jey as he got so close yet was far. The former IC Champion delivered a Spear and followed it up with a Uso splash. Many believed it was his moment and could end up becoming the world champion, just like he beat Bron Breakker to become the IC Champion.

However, fans were disappointed as the Ring General kicked out at two. It took just a normal Power Bomb for Gunther to pin Jey and claim a win. While the Imperium star successfully defended his title, he knew it was not easy. Gunther got the best match as a world champion.

Fans were upset with Gunther's win as they wanted Jey to become the world champion. While many were happy with how good the match was due to Jey, they criticized Triple H for not allowing Jey to win. However, some understood that the world title change could not happen on a Saturday Night's Main Event.
