Nia Jax (Source: X)
King and Queen of the Ring take place tomorrow, but before the final matches that will determine SummerSlam title showdowns, SmackDown had two last battles to confirm the lineup. The first of the two battles began the program, with Bianca Belair against Nia Jax.
While both are powerful, Belair is unable to capitalize on her strength after falling hard on her already wounded knee. Jax then lasered in on the wounded leg, and Belair fainted while attempting to strike the KOD, having sustained further damage throughout the bout. Jax took advantage, securing the annihilator and advancing to face Lyra Valkyria in the finals of tomorrow's premium live event.
Nia Jax and Belair demonstrated their power to begin the match, with Jax getting the opening blows in. Jax tossed Belair across the ring and then into the corner, but she was able to gain a chokehold on Jax. Jax attempted to toss Belair again, but the EST demonstrated her agility by landing on her feet. Unfortunately, she fell straight on the wounded knee and was hobbling a little thereafter.
Jax escaped and performed the Samoan drop
Bianca Belair smashed Jax face-first into the turnbuckle before landing many strikes on the back of Jax's skull. When Jax returned from break, he was solidly in control, but a submission attempt failed, and Belair was able to nearly pin him. Jax escaped and performed the Samoan drop on Belair, but Belair kicked out of the pin attempt.
Belair got up top and performed a crossbody, but she grabbed her leg right after, leaving a gap between landing and aiming for the pin. Jax kicked out, and Belair wasn't putting weight on his leg. Jax capitalized, landing a leg drop straight on Belair's knee before hauling him to the corner. Belair sprang up, hoisted Jax, and landed a powerbomb with one leg. Belair tried to pin Jax, but he was kicked out.
