Kendal Grey has officially been named as the ultimate WWE Evolve Women's Champion during the special "Succession" edition of WWE Evolve. Aired on October 15, 2025, on Tubi TV, Grey ended Kali Armstrong's inaugural 151-day reign to claim her first WWE title. At just 24, Grey has steadily risen through WWE's developmental ranks since her March 2024 debut as part of the third WWE NIL class. With a decorated amateur wrestling background, including three NAIA championships and a 2023 USA Wrestling finalist accolade, Grey has proven herself ready for a major championship, bringing a new era of excitement to the Evolve women's division. Grey has been an Evolve mainstay since day one and found herself in the last NXT battle royal this week in the final four.

Grey's path to victory and how the Match went
The Championship bout between Grey and Armstrong was the highlight of the Succession special. Armstrong, a 31-year-old veteran, came in as a confident champion with multiple successful title defenses, but Grey matched her intensity throughout the contest. The decisive moment came when Armstrong attempted a spear while charging off the ropes. Grey expertly countered the attack into a powerslam, immediately pinning Armstrong to claim the championship title. The fight wasn't an easy one, as Kali put on a massive match against her, packed full of powerful moves, but Grey was all set with counters in every move and took away the title from the former champion. The victory was celebrated in-ring by WWE talents Wren Sinclair and Carlee Bright. The bout was originally taped on September 23, but both competitors remained active in WWE programming afterward, building anticipation for the title change. Grey's win not only ends Armstrong's historic first reign but also sets the stage for new rivalries and challenges in the Evolve Women's division, highlighting WWE's commitment to elevating young talent.
