John Cena's Road to WrestleMania 41, the veteran star's plans revealed for the marquee event, with World Championship at stake

In what seems to be an exciting piece of news for John Cena fans, the veteran WWE superstar is set to make his in-ring comeback with his appearance in the upcoming marquee events. Earlier in November 2024, Cena came up with an announcement he would be a part of the WWE Elimination Chamber match on March 1.

It also sparked the rumours around his ‘capacity of appearance’ in the Elimination Chamber match. The news of Cena participating in the Elimination Chamber became official after he confirmed his presence and made an entry into the Royal Rumble 2025 match earlier this year.

The 46-year-old ‘removed from the ring’ by Jey Uso. Furthermore, he also spoke about his intentions in WWE in his professional career’s last year.

“What is best for business is I main event WrestleMania… I confidently say that I’m gonna win a seventeenth championship,” said Cena during a Royal Rumble Post Show.

Besides that, the senior Journalist David Meltzer reports that “John Cena is reportedly set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41, with plans in place for months leading up to the event.”

The 16-time World Champion wrestling superstar, Cena is nearing the end of his glorious career in the ring. He might take charge in the Elimination Chamber match to secure a spot in WrestleMania 41’s main event.

If he manages to get success in the Elimination Chamber match, John Cena will take on Cody Rhodes in the WrestleMania 41’s main event. The match will be for the World Championship and Cena will be eyeing ending his career on a glorious note with the 17th World Championship under his belt.

“In the 23 years I have been in this business, [and] I know there are different perspectives about my path, but the truth is I have never used my opportunities for a spot that I didn't earn. Tonight was special, for many reasons. But, it has begun to sink in that it was my last Royal Rumble... And I realized - looking at the sign - that Vegas is my last WrestleMania,” said Cena in his Royal Rumble press conference after the match.
