John Cena comes up with cryptic post after turning heel ahead of WrestleMania 41

John Cena is well-known for his entertaining Instagram postings. Many of John Cena's fans are confused by the fact that he frequently posts images on his Instagram account without captions or context. John Cena just shared another interesting image on Instagram, giving WWE fans something to look forward to this week.

In his recent post, John Cena posted Joaquin Phoenix’s much-loved face in 'Joker'. This post comes after John Cena turned heel on Cody Rhodes after winning Elimination Chamber 2025. WrestleMania 41 is the last shot for John Cena to win the WWE title for the 17^th time. 

This past weekend at Elimination Chamber: Toronto, 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena shocked everyone by turning heel.  Cena, who is now on his farewell tour, made the unimaginable choice to embrace his darker side with just ten months remaining in his wrestling career.

Although Cena has not yet made an appearance on WWE television since the betrayal, he has continued to stay active on social media. For more than 20 years, Cena never wavered from his babyface persona, making him one of WWE's greatest ambassadors. Fans thought they would never see him wear a heel turn as he began his last year in the WWE.

John Cena finally turned heel

When John Cena finally turned heel and attacked Cody Rhodes viciously, ending his illustrious babyface run, WWE Elimination Chamber produced one of the most stunning moments in wrestling history. Since The Rock made his spectacular offer to elevate Cody to the status of his champion on SmackDown, the tension had been rising. There was a catch, though: Cody had to sacrifice his soul. Going into Toronto's elimination Chamber, the Undisputed WWE Champion was faced with a crucial choice.

Cody was bloodied in the center of the ring when Cena smacked his title belt across his face. Then, in the most brutal turn of the evening, Cody was restrained by Cena and Travis Scott while The Rock beat him with the notorious weight belt bearing Dusty Rhodes' death date.
