Jeff Hardy made an outrageous claim on his Wrestling career in a recent conversation. The TNA Superstar claimed that he would have been bigger than John Cena if he followed his current lifestyle in his early 20s and 30s. The former WWE Superstar felt he was a gifted star and could not make the most of it.
Jeff said he could've had a brilliant career as a solo wrestler if he followed a disciplined lifestyle in his youth days. He felt only sky could've been a limit for him. "The way I was living life in my 20s and 30s, and if I was living life the way I’m living life now, oh my gosh, there’s no telling," said Jeff Hardy.
The TNA wrestler said his skills were so good that he would've probably been bigger then Cena as he was gifted. "I would probably be bigger than John Cena today because I was born with such a gift to be a pro wrestler," added Hardy.
'I was totally created for Wrestling' - Jeff Hardy
Hardy's statement has gone viral on social media with mixed opinions from the fans. While many felt he was indeed better than Cena as an in-ring performer irrespective of his lifestyle, they felt Hardy surpassing John in terms of popularity was a big stretch.
At his prime, Jeff had a great singles run in 2007. However, he was paired as a tag team wrestler in the following days. Hardy added that he felt natural as a wrestler and he had everything to be a star. Jeff was happy that he was still in the business at the age of 47 going against some of the best wrestlers in the world.
"It just felt so natural and like I was totally created to do this thing. And the cool thing about that is I’m still here. I still have life, and I feel good," Hardy concluded. Jeff and Matt have had a great run both as tag team partners and solo wrestlers in WWE and TNA.
