When the Great Khali was in All Pro Wrestling (APW) in 2001, an unfortunate Wrestling accident occurred that took away the life of an emerging wrestler named Brian Ong. Due to the negligence of the trainers and the officials, an accident took place from which Ong ended up losing his life. APW had to pay for it as Ong's family charged against the company.

Before joing WWE, Khali worked in several promotions like NJPW, WCW, and APW. In India, Khali did not have any sort of education. The star wrestler was poor in English and it did not help him in communications as a wrestler. It was one of the key factors thatmeant for him and Ong to work harder.

Brian claimed himself to be interested in suicidal, homicidal, and genocidal aerial moves. He was ready for taking risks to get the attention of millions. APW had a plan for him and Khali. He was assigned to deliver a flapjack to Brian. A training took place for 6 months to execute the move.

When the time arrived, The Great Khali was ready for the move. The first attempt was not good and Khali hence executed on the trainers to help Brian understand the move. On the second attempt, as Ong pulled the shirt, his talibone was hit first resulting in head being whipped violently against the mat.

Brian initially got up but soon collapsed and started to vomit with blood. Everyone realized the seriousness of the incident and admitted him to the hospital. But it was a bit too late as Ong was no more. The reports claimed that he passed away due to a subdural hemorrhage due to head trauma.

APW was blamed for letting the two execute the move despite Ong having record a simialr concussion in the past. APW did not provide any protective equipments to Ong. His family filed a lawsuit against the company and got $1.3 million as a result of the damages caused. At an age of just 27, Ong passed away.
