The Aussie icon had a promo against John Cena at the Money in the Bank 2023 where he gave a lot of reasons to defend his claim. He felt it was a good way to get the heat given the controversies in Ashes 2023.
Waller was asked about the return of Cena at the Money in the Bank 2023. The 16-time world champion spoke about the passion London crowd brought into the event. He felt the London crowd desrved to host WrestleMania sheerly due to their passion. The segment led to Waller addressing Cena's opinion.

The Aussie icon entered the scene and disagreed with Cena. He felt that the UK crowd sucked and did not deseve to host a massive event like WrestleMania. Grayson Waller recalled it and claimed that he meant everything he said in the segment. He felt UK does not deserve to host WrestleMania due to a lot of factors.
What was controversial in Ashes 2023?
Grayson claimed the biggest of them was the weather. Grayson said chilling cold weather in UK is not favorable for the wrestlers. He also added that the promo was a perfect opportunity for him to get the heat from the UK fans thereby strengthening his negative character.
Waller added that the Ashes 2023 was going on at the time of the Money in the Bank. He then explained what Ashes is. Grayson put forth the history between England and Australia in cricket. He claimed that a lot of controversies were happening at the time in the Test series.
The Ashes 2023 was one of the best Test series in rceent times. The series ended with a result of 2-2. In one of the matches, Jonny Bairstow was ran out by Alex Carey which became a point of controversy. Hence, Grayson felt it was a good way to bring Ashes into the equation to rile up the London crowd.
