Fans were not too happy with the decision to cost Jey Uso the Intercontinental Championship just 28 days after winning it. On WWE Raw, the Bloodline interfered in the match between Jey and Bron Breakker and eventually costing the former his title. While many understood that it was necessary for the buildup of the Bloodline Civil War story, they felt the execution made Jey wronged.
Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu entered the match with tickets claiming they were in the arena to support Jey. It did not sit well with the younger Uso who made it clear that he did not need anyone to cheer or support him. As Tonga Loa continued to support, Jey delivered him a super kick.
An attack on Tama Tonga meant Solo Sikoa was angry at Jey. Bron Breakker tried to seal the moment and attempted to spear Jey. Instead, he speared Solo as Jey moved out of the impact. Jacob did not like it and ended up attacking Main Event Jey.
Fans unhappy with Intercontinental Championship booking
Everything helped Bron Breakker who speared Jey to reclaim the IC title. Fans were disappointed with the fact that Jey's title reign was terribly booked. He could spend only 28 days as a champion and had a solitary title defense with Xavier Woods apart from Bron.
Many understood that Jey was bound to lose the title given his involvement in the Bloodline Civil War story. However, they argued that Jey should have become a champion way before than he was so that it had any value. In fact, the entire booking of the IC title has been criticised since Gunther lost the title to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania XL.
Bron won the title at SummerSlam lost it a month ago. Even when he lost, there was a criticism from a certain sect of fans regarding the creative decisions. It seems like the fans want to see better booking in regard to not just the IC title, but many other titles like tag team titles and the women's world title.
Here's how the fans reacted to Jey Uso's loss -

Right maybe, but disappointed. Jey put in the work over the past year that warranted way more than a 4 week reign.

It makes sense storyline wise and gave Jey a good moment a few weeks back pic.twitter.com/DwAHT4R73m

It was to set up Jey to get involved with the Bloodline stuff. He also doesn’t look weak. It was logical and the right move.

There wasn’t no other way to get jey back in the bloodline.

At the beginning of today I would’ve said yes because I wanted to see the OG Bloodline, but that execution was horrible. Then you realize Jey had a lot of momentum finally getting the belt but now he’s gotta go back to being a side character for Roman. I don’t like it ngl.

I think i speak for EVERYONE when i say this is the WRONG move

Yes. This now leads to Jey wanting revenge on Solo and teaming with Roman

For storyline purposes yes

Jey having the IC title during the feud doesn’t make sense
