When Judgment Day, the former WWE Women's World Champion, eventually broke up at SummerSlam 2024, Rhea Ripley was devastated. Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh were among the additions made to the group within the past two years, after the original lineup of Edge, Damian Priest, and Ripley in 2022.
At SummerSlam, the group tragically ended as Finn Balor betrayed Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio turned on Ripley. Even though the breakup was a kayfabe plot point, Ripley was still deeply affected emotionally. It was eventually revealed though at first, nobody knew who the faction member was that they had been spotted sobbing backstage. In a recent episode of The Wrestling Classic, Ripley admitted that, indeed, she had been crying.
"The Judgment Day was family to me like it was. It has helped my career so much more than I can put into words. I feel like that was when I started opening up and feeling comfortable going out there in front of the crowd beacuse I had the boys to fall back on. So it was emotional for me,'' Rhea Ripley said as per Pink Villa.
Rhea Ripley to face Live Morgan at Bad Blood
Ripley continued by saying that she didn't feel guilty about her painful tears following the faction's conclusion. She claimed that the last 2.5 years were unique and that she was aware that she couldn't go back in time. She clarified that she was quite devastated by everything and that the boys were like family to her. But The Eradicator admitted that they were all heading in the right direction and that something positive was anticipated as a result.
Following their split on Judgment Day, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley teamed together and were referred to as the Terror Twins. After a tag match, Ripley and Priest defeated Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio at the just concluded WWE Premium Live Event, Bash in Berlin on August 31.
Ripley will next go up against Liv Morgan for the WWE Women's World Championship at Bad Blood on October 5, 2024.
