Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins returned the favor to Bloodline after main event of Friday Night Smackdown. After receiving belt treatment for two weeks in a row, the American Nightmare finally gave it back to the Bloodline. Along with Seth Rollins and Jey Uso, Cody took on Jimmy Uso. The event transpired after the main event match between Solo Sikoa and Jey Uso.
The match was announced last week. Jey seemed to have an upper hand over Solo. The match was brief but had action. Jey had the back from the crowd who cheered him to win the match. Solo tried to take out the main event Jey with the Samoan Spike, but Uso survived it. The younger Uso then had the upper hand over Solo and looked good for the win.
Jey delivered two super kicks and followed it with a spear. What followed it was a pretty Uso splash. As Jey was about to pin Sikoa, Jimmy Uso entered the fray and interrupted the match. He then attacked Jey and got Solo to do the same. Just when the two aimed at taking out the younger Uso, the American Nightmare and the visionary entered the arena.
Belt treatment for Jimmy Uso
Cody delivered a Cody cutter to Jimmy. A tired Solo managed to escape the arena. The older Uso was caught by Seth and Rhodes. As Jey recovered from the assault, he took to the ring and accompanied the duo. A seemingly tired Jimmy was up against the trio. He begged for solace. But the night was only going to get tougher for the former tag team champion.
Cody, who got the beating from The Rock and Roman in the last couple of weeks, paid back to the Bloodline. He removed the belt from his waist having 'Nightmare' written on it and smashed Jimmy's back. He then handed over the belt to Rollins. The World Heavyweight Champion delivered a blow to Jimmy from the belt. Jey will be up against Jimmy in WrestleMania XL.
