CM Punk states that he was locked inside WWE HQ after Backlash 2024 PPV

Many stories developed at Backlash France on Saturday, including Cody Rhodes' first successful title defence, the expansion of the Bloodline, and Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill capturing the tag team championships. After the event, they all took a moment to reflect on CM Punk's public ordeal, which saw him being trapped in a restroom at WWE's Corporate Headquarters and then finding himself alone in the building.

CM Punk performed at a pre-show at WWE HQ before Backlash and then went to the restroom to change out of his outfit. But then he was stuck in the restroom for so long that he missed his trip home. When he came out, he had some free time and decided to "pull some Phantom of the Opera s--t and see how long it takes somebody to notice that I am, in fact, here." 

CM Punk has been enjoying his comeback to WWE since the 2023 WWE Survivor Series. Unfortunately, the former WWE Champion is presently sidelined due to a triceps injury, but that hasn't prevented him from using his words to threaten Drew McIntyre on WWE television and participate in Countdown events for WWE PLEs. 

Punk turned to Instagram stories to disclose the event

Following the occasion, Punk turned to Instagram stories to disclose that he was stuck inside the building while getting dressed after the pre-show. Punk, ever the vigilant athlete, chose to work out while he was confined inside the building. Then he stated that he would do his best to see what mischief he could get into. 

CM Punk now stalks WWE headquarters. We'll see how long this lasts, but for the time being, the city of Stamford, Connecticut has one new inhabitant.
