WWE announces participants for Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal 2024

According to the sources, 20 Superstars will take on each other in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal 2024 later on Friday Night Smackdown.

Nearly, 20 WWE Superstars in the current roster are scheduled to participate in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal 2024 later this week. The prestigious event will head the main event of Friday Night Smackdown. While some have already taken part in it, others will be making their debut. The event can give some of the wrestlers their due to working hard.

Some Superstars who have been in the mid-card or lower in the pecking have the opportunity to participate in the event. The list features some of the best Superstars in the current roster like Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ivar, JD McDonagh, and so on. From the Alpha Academy, all three of Chad Gable, Otis, and Tozawa will take part. 

In addition to it, there are the likes of Omos, the Creed brothers (Brutus Creed and Julius Creed), Andrade, Sanga, Veer, Cameron, Kit Wilson, Elton Prince, Ashante, Cedric, Apollo, and Bronson Reed. While nothing has been official, these wrestlers seem to be the probable candidates to take part in the event. If what sources claim is to be believed, it might be a good battle royal.

About Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal was formed as a tribute to the WWE Hall of Famer Andre the Giant, who was known as a master in winning the Battle Royals. The first-ever Battle Royal was held in 2014 and was won by Antonio Cesaro. It is organized as a pre-WrestleMania kickoff event every year. In 2023, 28 Superstars took part in the event.

In 2024, the tenth edition of the battle royal will take place. The most recent winner was Bobby Lashley who won the trophy ahead of the WrestleMania 39. So far, there have been 7 other winners apart from Cesaro and Lashley. From 2015 to 2022, the likes of The Big Show, Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley, Matt Hardy, Braun Strowman, Jey Uso, and Madcap Moss have managed to win.
