'I feel the same' - Baron Corbin reacts to fan who claimed WWE to have fumbled by releasing him (Source: X)
WWE recently released some promising talents from its active roster like Baron Corbin, Indi Hartwell, and Tegan Nox. Among them, Corbin was the biggest name who spent 12 years in the company and had a very good prime in the second half of the 2010s. A fan claimed it to be a big fumble from WWE and Crobin agreed to it.
In the second half of the 2010s, Crobin played several characters with near perfection. He was a brilliant heel and played the role of Sad Corbin well. In the period, he beat some of the top talents on the roster clean. Things changed after the pandemic and WWE had to change many plans.
Crobin was one of the top talents of the company before the pandemic. However, fans did not get invested in him which forced the creative team to send him to NXT. Even on the small roster, Baron played a big role, especially helping Bron Breakker to evolve by being his tag team partner.
'I appreciate that and feel the same' - Baron Corbin to fan
After the WWE Draft 2024, he got a main roster call-up. Corbin returned to Smackdown and had some role with Apollo Crews. Hence, it was a surprise for the fans to know that he was not a part of WWE anymore. Given how talented he was, many felt WWE could not use him well.
One such fan with the username 'Brians Collectibles 518' claimed that letting Baron go was a big fumble from WWE. "WWE fumbled the bag letting you go," wrote the fan in the comment section of Baron's post. It got a reply from Corbin himself who agreed to the fact.
"I appreciate that and feel the same," replied Corbin to the fan's comment. Fans also reacted to the release of Tegan Nox and Indi Hartwell. While some felt it was not a good move, others felt it was on the cards given Raw's screen time got reduced by an hour. However, fans were upset the most with Corbin's release.
